The HMS Conway Memorial Chapel at Birkenhead Priory, overlooking the River Mersey, is a beautiful, nautically themed chapel available for private services of remembrance in memory of individuals, associations and ships – indeed any service where a maritime atmosphere is desired. It is a warm, intimate space with large nautically themed stained glass windows and a wooden clerestory roof which makes it a very bright and cheerful space. It can hold up to 50 people.
Ensigns can be worn on the flagpole at the entrance. The chapel has a professional standard electronic organ and an organist may be available subject to reasonable notice.
There is parking in the adjacent Church Street and in a dedicated car park behind the Prioiry.
Hamilton Square station is a few minutes walk away.
We make a small charge for hire of the chapel and there may also be a small charge for the Refectory as it is run by Wirral Council.
