The Friends survives entirely on donations and subscriptions. You can help us in one of three very practical ways. If you are an Old Conway we hope you will be particularly motivated to help us keep the ship’s good name and memory alive.
We are a registered charity so you can claim tax relief on your contributions from the Inland Revenue. You can also donate any tax refunds to us quoting the reference number ZAQ10SG.
1. One-Off Donation
You can donate any amount, at any time and as often as you wish. Cheques should be made payable to “The Friends of HMS Conway’ and sent to our Honorary Treasurer: Mike Pickthorne, Flat 15, Mary Sunley House, Banstead Street, LEEDS, W. Yorks, LS8 5RU. Email Mike on morleidr403@runbox.com.
2. Annual Subscription
With an annual subscription you become a Subscriber with a direct voice in the running of The Friends. You are entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting, receive a copy of our Annual Report and can volunteer to become a Trustee representing the Subscribers. The minimum annual subscription is £25. 3. Bequest
No one likes to think about their own death, but leaving a legacy in your Will to The Friends will help to ensure that Conway’s good name and reputation survives as a beacon for future generations. If you are interested in making a bequest you should consult your solicitor about how to proceed.
